About

Argentum Pluviam is a project created to share my documentation of life, from the view of my camera lens. I was gifted my first instant camera, an Instax mini 24, for my middle school graduation in 2017. I had seemingly forgotten about it, until nearly a year later when I uncovered it while packing for a month long stay in Venice, Italy. With inspiration from my parents, I continue to immortalize moments in silver bromide and potassium thiosulfate. I now shoot with Instax mini 90 Neo Classic, Instax SQ6, and Polaroid OneStep+ instant cameras.

Latin for “siver rain,” the name Argentum Pluviam is derived from the silver bromide used in the development of instant film. And everything sounds cooler in Latin.
